Justina Sanchez is a San Diego native. She has been in the Testing, Inspection & Certification industry for the last 18 years. With her career starting as the administrative assistant for engineers, her eyes were quickly opened to the amazing world of engineering that she never knew about. After a brief but life-changing conversation with her boss, Justina went on to pursue a degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering. For the first 11 years of her technical career, Justina was a Product Safety Engineer performing electrical safety testing of products before they went to market, and handling full project evaluations. She now works as a Quality Engineer where she audits labs across North America, just like the one she worked in. Justina is also an authorized Technical Assessor for IECEE (IEC Systems of Conformity Assessments Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components), and most recently, Justina has become a Best-Selling Author with the release of her first book Extraordinary Engineers: Female Engineers Of This Day And Time, this book has won several awards, and is an Amazon Best Selling Book. 

Her passion for advancing women in STEM has been seen and felt by many. She mentors our next generation of engineers and is a speaker, presenter, and supporter of many organizations throughout the world. 

Justina is a wife and mom, and hasn’t met a dessert she doesn’t love. She enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures. She is a leader and takes every opportunity to develop that into something for others. She isn’t afraid to take risks and step into the unknown; after all, we don’t grow in our comfort zones.
